This is a huge issue that is difficult to respond to in a few words. From my reading of the situation, it's not that the children are victims of paedophiles, rather victims of domestic abuse (sexual, physical or otherwise). I think that sending in the military is somewhat of an over-reaction. Addressing the issues of alcoholism and drug abuse as well as the issues of sexual abuse are important. As are issues of good housing, health and education. I'm not sure that the method the Australian Prime Minister has chosen is the best way.
