Cheap Child Health Insurance

Bruce Said:

How do I switch my health insurance from work provided to private with kids on child support?

We Answered:

Are your children school age? United Healthcare offers "kids only" health insurance plans that provide children's coverage for sickness and accidents. Their plans are written through school districts and many private K12 schools throughout the US. Their health plan is designed to be affordable, at just $98 every 2 months. Check out www.k12studentinsurance.com to see if your child's school district (or private school) is participating. Click on the "Plans & Pricing" tab, enter the district name or private school name and the state in the search box and review the plans. If you don’t find your child’s school district, call UnitedHealthcare StudentResources at 888-282-5957 to see about adding it.

Where can I find cheap health insurance for a child?

We Answered:

you said you looked into the medicaid program. try to see what other programs they offer. i know where i live they have a thing that isnt an insurance but it is a sliding fee scale based on your income and it should be good almost anywhere you go. kids are expensive and the government is pretty understanding of that if your income isnt so great.

Jessie Said:

I need basic cheap health insurance for school where do i go?

We Answered:

In nearly all cases, the cheapest option for students is whatever their school offers. If you go to one of the few schools that does not offer any insurance, then the cheapest option will be one of the options that is available only in your state and not in the other 49 states. The only inexpensive options that are available nationwide are only available to employees of the federal government. Other than the federal government, there is no good inexpensive place that offers insurance for all 50 states.

If, like most schools, your school offers some type of health insurance, take it. If not, then post this question again with the name of your state, so that we can tell you what options exist in your state, although all of them will be more expensive than getting insurance from a school.

Question about cheap health insurance??/?

We Answered:

If you can't afford the surgery, why do you want another child? No offense, but you are on Medicaid! You are asking tax payers to cover an elective surgery AND the health care of another child??? There are no health insurance carriers that will cover that; and tax payers shouldn't have to either! If you want another child so badly, you'll have to work for it!

Cheap Health Insurance...?

We Answered:

The best thing to do is search for the company that satisfy all your needs and wants. Don't sign up with a company that you don't fully like I found this free service that allows you to find the most competitive rates on insurance policies. So it saves you time and hassle of contacting insurance carriers individually for quotes and resubmitting the same information repetitively.

Whats really good, cheap health insurance?

We Answered:

I am on a short term health insurance plan becuase my company doesn't offer insurance and my spouse has to wait 6 months before we can get on her group plan. This might be a good option for you, since you will eventually be covered by a group plan once you find employment. The short term plan is cheap for me, about 160 a month. (That is with a 250 deductible, you can get it cheaper if you had a higher deductible, I think around 50 bucks a month) it covers everything, no co-pays, and comes with a really good discount card for dental and vision and prescriptions and stuff. Then you can get a job where you want, and not settle for some place just cause they offer insurance.
