Diana Said:

To what extent should I limit visitors who want to see my newborn?

We Answered:

I suggest you wait until the baby is about 2 months. Just tell your husband to politely tell his family and others that
"mom and baby are resting and getting use to one another but we gladly welcom visitors in ____week. We'll call you soon." There is nothing wrong with limiting guests, I did and I'm glad for it. My husband really helped by answering the phone and being "the bad guy," even though it's not really being mean. Good luck!

Jeanne Said:

My ex. wants to put our child in daycare. We have family available for free. What will the court say?

We Answered:

I have experience in the parenting field.
While I do understand you don't want your child in daycare I understand your ex not wanting a 77 year old watching the baby is very valid. Plus she is your ex and likely doesn't want it seen as it is your side of the family raising and influencing the child more, she may also have had problems with your mother to make her not trust her. I wouldn't leave my newborn with a woman of that age. Your mother may be competent and in good health but the responsibilities of a newborn are big and important. Your mother having to provide this care is likely to deteriorate her health and mental capabilities. There are plenty of wonderful loving day cares, try looking at a few together and you may see that you are comfortable with it, or she may see she is uncomfortable with it.
I would try to work it out peacefully and see each other point of view. It would be bad that the first decision in this child's life has to be decided in court it doesn't show much hope for this child have parents who are willing to work together.

WE tv show Downsized - don't they get child support?

We Answered:

I watched the entire show and it is obvious that they have already sold off most of there belongings. What was apparent was the fact that they have no clue about money or common sense. There house they live in and rent is lavis and expensive. They may think there cutting back but my gosh, get real people. For a mother who has a master degree she is pretty stupid. the next episode is when an analyst tells them there poor. DUHHH. Still living way beyond there means and her husband still is working out of his home and not looking for work. They are still spending alot of money foolishly on the first episode. Who knows what there bringing in.
It is upsetting to watch the dad use the daughter to see if there is enough money on there food stamp card to purchase groceries. Again the mother has a master's. Obviously they can not add or subtract much less handle a bank account.
One side that i saw was the upside is they seem to be in love. Clueless on how to live but in love.
