Erica Said:

how do you think would the health state of a school age child affect his development?

We Answered:

Sick kids don't grow well, they can't play well and they sure as heck can't learn well. It diminishes all the things a child should be doing during childhood to be ill.

Matthew Said:

I'm a child development major... getting confused...?

We Answered:

I think this is the wrong major for you. To be an elementary teacher you need to major in Elem. Education. To be a dance team instructor you need to major in Dance or Fine Arts, unless you are just sponsoring a club at your school then you don't. To be a special ed teacher you need to major in special education. I'm not sure what you need to major in for the child behavior health specialist, but my guess would be developmental psychology. It seems as if all of your ideas for a career require different majors. You will probably want to figure out what you want to do and quickly choose the appropriate major.

How to support a child's emotional development at nursery?

We Answered:

children need to be comfortable in their environment, taking the time to settle a child, stay with them listen to their needs ask them questions make them feel valued, respected and like the nursery is their place to feel comfortable in a second home. find out what they like, don't like and ask their parents what the child's temperament is and work to that, if they are shy Talk softly and engage in quiet play. loud stimulating activities for an outgoing child, understanding their physical, social and intellectual needs will help you to understand there emotional ones. each need is as important as the next. also tell the children about been a bully, been kind all the moral and values and allow them to express there anger or emotions to you or other adults and how to tell adults if something happened to them to make them feel secure in their place of learning.
