That's a lie. Most people who receive public assistance genuinely need it. The fraud in public assistance programs is tiny in comparison to the federal pork that gets distributed to military contractors and useless Corps of Engineers projects. And very little of that money comes from the federal government: most welfare comes from the states.

The people who are the most upset about welfare are usually the ones who know the least about it. I deal with people on public assistance on an almost daily basis, and they are not what you describe.

In my country (Mexico) a significative number of married men (and some married women) use to have a "lover" despite the fact that the Catholic Church forbides it. This doesn´t seem to have affected the number of AIDS cases in our population, but have created other social problems.

Monogamy could be an interesting solution, but the problem is how to adopt in our population it without menaces or cohersion.

I believe that it takes much time so that a society can transform itself and unfortunately there will be many victims in the meanwhile. Education could help and Concientization of the real problem too. I´m afraid, Africa doesn´t have a good future in these aspects.

You need to have the support order reworked. When you get the divorce you need to try to have the custody and the support changed in the divorce decree. I guess after you separated she got on welfare and they set your child support up that way. Well depending on the state you live in you may need to have it modified. Some states consider both parent's income when setting support. Parenting time could also drop the amount of support you pay. The two of you can't make any decision on child support if it is court ordered it has to be changed by the courts.

Your definitely getting screwed if you had them 6 months out of the year. Either you shouldn't have had to pay her during the time she had them or she should have had to pay you when you had them. I can't believe you wouldn't have had that changed when you had them. If you don't have LEGAL joint custody then you need to make sure you get it. What if a person no longer wants the Office of the Attorney General’s services?
If the parent no longer receives TANF or Medicaid and wishes to discontinue child support enforcement services, the case can be closed by written request, provided no arrears are owed by the non-custodial parent that are assigned to the state.
