Most child custody/child support cases are ORDERED to mediation...it is standard operating procedure. Your husband's lawyer will NOT be allowed to attend and you can have separate discussions with the mediator if you choose. You will probably need to bring all financial information, pay stubs, proof of income and expenses to provide to the mediator. My guess is that since he lawyered up he probably won't be providing any information but at trial will need to have all of that information in order to get an order for support. The only thing I can think he might try is more custody...which could mean he payments could be less and you might end up paying him support. BE CAREFUL...try to get help with this or you might end up screwed. Legal Aid and/or Pro Bono attorneys are out there but it takes time to find one that will help. Good luck.

JrNYLC stands for Jr. National Young Leadership Conference. My daughter went last year, and had so much fun. She learned so much, and has made friends to last a lifetime. She loved it so much, that she is going back this summer to the Alumni conference in Boston. She also has been invited to go to the presidential inauguration. A once in a lifetime opportunity!! She is so excited. This is something that will last a lifetime. Not only is she learning skills that will take her through high school, college and in life, but she will be a part of history! Of course we pay for all this. But there are opportunities to fund-raise, write letters for financial help, etc... The first time she went, we paid for nothing. Family, friends and co workers all contributed. This year, we are paying for it, because we don't want to ask the same people for money again. But she can sell things, bake things, car wash, etc... There are certainly ways around the money. I really do think it is worth the hard work of fund raising the money. She will appreciate it more is she earns it!! Good luck!!
