Why on earth would you want to make him right-handed? handedness is genetic, about 75% of the worlds population are right-handed, and 25% are left-handed (a small proportion of which are genuiniely ambidextrous).

I have a left-handed friend who was "taught" to write with her right hand by some very strict nuns at her primary school around 30 years ago. She now uses her right hand to write, but her writing is very slow, and she is a very jumpy person and lacks confidence.

With regards to your sons weight, is he actually underweight according to a growth chart, or is he just in one of the lower centiles? He sounds healthy to me.

I lock my car doors and take my keys with me, Im in the store less than five minutes and out, but I would never ever leave my children or my niece and nephew in the car while I go in to shop or when I can not see the vehicle the entire time.

He's 17 now, and will be entering an Electrician apprenticeship program, and is totally nuts about cars.

There's no other way but to face it. It will be very painful to her but just always make sure you're always on her side. You must also face her postpartum depression period. Make sure that you, her family and friends talk to her. Be supportive.
