Sounds legitimate but I would definitely ask a paralegal or a lawyer. Good luck.

I don't have health insurance and I need to see a doctor, what should I do?

We Answered:

Go to the free clinic. Try Planned Parenthood too. Look up "Clinics" in the phone book & call around & ask for suggestions.

Big secret: SIgn up for ONE Jr. College/Community class & you can use the Jr. College's student health center. ; )

Try your local University's hospital.

child in need?

We Answered:

The aunt should ask for temporary custody from the mother or (if she refuses) go file for it at the courthouse. You should not need lawyer for this. If the mother is still in treatment they will have no choice but to comply with your request. This may also be an issue because without custody if the child gets sick, the aunt can not even take him to the doctor or seek emergency treatment. By the federal government all medical facilities must have permission by the parent or guardian to administer treatment.

michigan laws?

We Answered:

As a person who went through exact thing before I can say it is fair to the judge because you are having equal time through the day, Noone is having to do more for the children. As regards to child support. You have to feed them, clothes them and take care of them half the day so does he. As regards to child support.
Now as for the health insurance, in the state of michigan if the husband has health insurance offered to him through his employment he is by law suppose to have the children on it.
As far as the distance you can live, well that is the law you have to follow since the children reside with you. As far as taking them out of state, well wouldn't you want your husband to have to ask you before he takes them out of state?
It sounds like you got it fair.
If you go to days and have them all night and your ex only has them on the weekends or a couple of evenings a week for a few hours or so and he has them less than 128 days out of the year then you will be able to get child support and daycare expenses if they apply.
