I am a child health nurse working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services; have done since finishing uni 18 months ago.Being worried about violence within mental health is a common anxiety but actually it is not as common as is made out. Depends on your client group.

yes, psychiatric nurses can have a field of expertise in children as well as adolescents, im sure depending what state your in, you will have to meet some requirements, but the MH nurse can also have different area of expertise, like depression, or ADHD or something like gender issues.
