I havnt felt my baby move yet?

We Answered:

While it may feel like you've been pregnant forever, 16 weeks is still very early. Like you, I started experiencing the lower pelvic pain early in my pregnancy. The cause of this pain is that your body is releasing hormones to weaken the muscles in your pelvis and lower vertebrae in order to prepare your body for labor and delivery. The fact that your body is still producing these hormones is a good sign that your pregnancy is still on track. As far as not feeling the baby move yet, that is also completely normal. Most women begin feeling movement between 18 and 22 weeks. Everything sounds normal to me!

Why do so many MEN have children in advanced age even though Nature seems to intend otherwise?

We Answered:

The facts that you list are not taught in biology class. Doctors do not warn their patients about the paternal age effect. There is a false idea that problems come from the age of the mother, Even down syndrome can be caused by either parent.

There is a silence in the culture on this topic and autism, schizophrenia, dwarfism, hemophilia, childhood cancers, de novo Huntington Chorea, blindness, certain cerebal palsies, mental retardation, MD etc. etc. results. Dr Singh has not been funded to continue his research and all scientists and there are hundreds who know about the paternal age effect are not funded. There was a new paper this week on autism and increasing paternal age, but the media did not cover it:

Advancing paternal age and risk of autism: new evidence from a population-based study and a meta-analysis of epidemiological studies.

Abstract
Advanced paternal age has been suggested as a risk factor for autism, but empirical evidence is mixed. This study examines whether the association between paternal age and autism in the offspring (1) persists controlling for documented autism risk factors, including family psychiatric history, perinatal conditions, infant characteristics and demographic variables; (2) may be explained by familial traits associated with the autism phenotype, or confounding by parity; and (3) is consistent across epidemiological studies. Multiple study methods were adopted. First, a Swedish 10-year birth cohort (N=1?075?588) was established. Linkage to the National Patient Register ascertained all autism cases (N=883). Second, 660 families identified within the birth cohort had siblings discordant for autism. Finally, meta-analysis included population-based epidemiological studies. In the birth cohort, autism risk increased monotonically with increasing paternal age. Offspring of men aged ?50 years were 2.2 times (95% confidence interval: 1.26-3.88: P=0.006) more likely to have autism than offspring of men aged ?29 years, after controlling for maternal age and documented risk factors for autism. Within-family analysis of discordant siblings showed that affected siblings had older paternal age, adjusting for maternal age and parity (P<0.0001). Meta-analysis demonstrated advancing paternal age association with increased risk of autism across studies. These findings provide the strongest evidence to date that advanced paternal age is a risk factor for autism in the offspring. Possible biological mechanisms include de novo

Grandparents threatening me with my baby!Family/custody laws for Queensland please offer advice!?

We Answered:

Firstly, that grandfather should not be bathing with the baby. This is not appropriate and I would be taking a stand on this one straight away. The baby can be bathed in a baby bath by a parent or grandparent but not in the same tub with a grandparent. They may not see anything wrong with this but this is how paedophilia begins and you should know this even if it is not happening.

As to grandparent having 3 - 4 day visitation rights. I think that she is calling your bluff. Visitation rights are between parents firstly. If the father does not have a very strong character, then they may be manipulating him by saying these things to you. They are obviously destroying the relationship between you and the boyfriend/father by their interference.

I would reject all gifts of baby clothes and sheets and toys if the grandparents insist on keeping them at their place. In that case they are not gifts. They have bought them in preparation for the baby's visits to them. They are not gifts to you for the baby's use at your place.

Don't feel pressured to do what they want. Decide what you want to do in relation to the baby and her future. Seek professional help through legal aid Queensland.

Pro Bono solicators offer their serives free to those who cannot afford to pay or at a greatly reduced price if you need to go to court. You will still have to pay court fees to the government if it comes to going to court over custody of your daughter.

Good Luck!!!

why do some Anti's continually shame and ignore male victims ?

We Answered:

Rape is horrendous no matter if it happens to a man or a woman. But you seem to be claiming that it's women doing the raping. I'd like to see your stats on what percentage of these rapes are committed by men. Could you provide some statistics on the perpetrators? I'm more than sure you will find there aren't too many female rapists.
