Child Health Records Department

Cathy Said:

How can I get old shot records from a pediatrician who has been deceased for 20+ years?

We Answered:

The college is just trying to protect you from catching these old diseases from someone who might be attending the college who has diplomatic immunity or questionable records and may be carrying these diseases. They do not want an outbreak on their campus or the lawsuits that might ensue after an outbreak.

Greg Said:

Is it possible to get a copy of immunization records if doctor has retired?

We Answered:

You could ask the health department. Different areas have different systems of recording vaccine administration and it is possible your information might have been entered into a database. If they do not have records, you could ask them if you could get blood tests for immunity to some of the diseases. Measles, mumps, varicella, chickenpox, and hepatitis B are all diseases you could get blood tests for. If it has been more than 10 years since your last tetanus/diphtheria, you would need another one anyway, but some of the vaccines are not given past a certain age so hopefully you won't need too many!

Child Support Non-Biological Father?

We Answered:

You answered your own question. In your state he has to pay because they were legally married at the time of birth.

Edit:
I am just basing this on what you posted up there as the laws from your state.

One thing I can assure you is the state will look for any way to keep from paying welfare if they believe they can pin it on some one else.

I have seen this used in Pennsylvania 3 times where the guy proved through DNA he was not the father. In all 3 cases the guy lost because their laws are very similar to what you listed above.

They were legally married at the time of conception.

Thelma Said:

Has the State health department violated my HIPAA rights?

We Answered:

NO, it is permissible for them to release the info in the interest of public safety, the children.~

Gary Said:

as a parent do you have access to social services records?

We Answered:

Sorry to say, but children service does not have to give anyone a copy of the records, and this does appear to be a normal investigation here. You Dad has the right to not be recorded, he can refuse. But, talking to them does not hurt anything. Could be they are looking for some one to blame for something, they do that too. Does not mean they are always right. Little suspicious regarding Dad though, makes me wonder what kind of brain washing that development center done to the kids, they are good at that.
