When you say "questionnaire/interviews" it occurs to me is that a questionnaire would be a lot easier for a student than interviewing parents about the Autism of their children.

Designing a standardized questionnaire would be interesting, although it involves a bit of work for you and participants. What I mean is the type of test used for diagnostics. For example, I might write a very long list of questions and participants, some of whom have a particular illness, respond with pencil on printed forms. Math is used to find a much smaller number of questions that are especially good at predicting presence of the illness.

O'Ryan: Once again you are wrong, SCHIP was started in 1997, under Clinton. Two attempts were made to expand SCHIP under Bush, both were vetoed by him. It wasn't until Obama was president that the program was finally expanded.

I think with your experience, recommendation, and test scores, you have a fairly good chance of being admitted to both institutions you listed. Yale will be harder though, because it is more selective.

I applied to Yale, Upenn and Columbia this fall. I was not accepted to yale (because my scores were not good) but I was waitlisted at both upenn and columbia and will get the final answers in may.

Usually colleges care about all four years of high school, but not as much about the first year which is often considered transitive. You can very well explain your circumstances in your essays which are very important during the admissions process. If you were bullied because of being foreign (im foreign myself) I am sure admissions people will understand if explained well.

Your extra curriculars or job experience (especially modeling ;-)) are not phenomenal for these schools in my opinion, yet your restaurant experience and your own book seems very impressive to me and I am sure will make an impression on admissions committee as well.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to make your application stand out. The rest I think is very good on the record you presented.

Sadly, most fundamentalists cannot see beyond that. As you have seen here, they called gay love a sin and pure lust and that it is an 'ugly sin' and that gays will go to hell if they remained as such.
