Glenn Said:

Can you think of reasons why physically punishing your child at an early age is better than reasoning? (1-8)?

We Answered:

No. There is no reason to hit a child. If you hit a child it WILL affect their health, it will affect their emotional health.

My 3 year old child has high cholesterol! Any good websites??

We Answered:

Ignore the findings. Honestly, why in the world would a doctor even test a child? Total cholesterol has nothing to do with heart disease anyway. They only reading that is important is triglycerides.

Just feed your child whole, healthy foods. Stay away from refined foods and sugar. Eat whole foods not junk.
--------------------------------------…
edit-- and please don't feed your small child low fat. Fat is an important part of brain development. Fat is not evil. In fact under the idea of "low fat" heart disease has soared in this nation. Just feed healthy fats like olive oils, whole milk, fish, butter, etc. Don't feed trans fats though like the ones you get in junk food or margarine. Healthy whole foods are always the best choice. But the idea to feed a child low fat is very dangerous. Fat helps in brain development.

How do I get rid of net nanny without the password?

We Answered:

When net nanny was installed the installer (be it your parents or the manufacturer) was prompted to enter in a password that is used for uninstalling. So you will have to contact the manufacturer if your parents did not install it and get the password from them.

any good websites or tips on saving cash?

We Answered:

The important thing at this point in your life is that you start saving. The amount you save is not important, but establishing good habits is. Even though you already feel stretched too thin, get in the habit of putting $5 in a savings account every time you get paid.

I'm sure as you're at your job longer or move on to better opportunities your income will increase in time. Then you can start putting away more money.

I also make it a point to never spend loose change. (If you can get away with never spending $1's, that's even better). I put it all in a jar and when I have enough, I wrap it and take it to the bank. You'd be surprised how much it adds up.

Another thing I do is paid surveys and paid email programs online. Legitimate ones are free to sign up with. I put all of this money in a savings account also. My favorite program is https://www.opinionoutpost.com/join?affi…

Best of luck to you!

19 Y/O searching for health insurance advice?

We Answered:

Since you are young and hopefully healthy then you can purchase a good health insurance plan for very cheap if you shop around.

You can probably find a plan for about $50/month just make sure that you choose a well known and trusted company like a Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna, etc. and stay away from scams like discount cards and coupon cards.

The key is to compare quotes from at least 3 different companies in order to find the best rate. Here is some more information on finding a cheap student health insurance plan:
