Your not the only one in that situation. I woke up from a coma due a on the job ijury and found that my employer hd canceled my medical insurance while I was in the coma. I still owe the hospital that saved my life about $250,000 in medical bills and could not get insurance after the injury. Not even the state high risk pool would take me because I did not have the funds to pay the outrageous amount of money they charged. I finally got on Medicare and Medicaid because of the injuries I suffered left me permanantly disabled. I have tried to work but my last job fired me when I applied for my Americns with Disabilties Act Accomanation. That is how Walmart and Sam's Club treats their employees when they apply for the AMA. Still I managed to find a Doctor to treat me. I have to travel over 45 miles to Austin Texas to a wonderful clinic called the People's Community Clinic that have wonderful people, nurses and Doctors who are just the best. Better than when I had really good medical insurance. I've never had such great doctors and nurses than since I've been with the People's Community Clinic.
