I supplement with vitamins aminos and omega 3s Spirulina (blue green algae) which has the B's also..Iron is no problem root vegetables have Iron wheat/grains ..beans have loads of iron and zinc. Once a day they get a Spiruteen protein smoothie ..which is sooo complete you could survive on that alone. Add Wheat germ this is stocked full of B's add that to everything ..brewers yeast too

In relation to your job title the word bank means you aren't tied to one particular ward/area, you are part of a bank of nurses/hca's who work on a casual basis.

I'm a student nurse & bank hca for the hospital where I do my placements. I can tell them up to 6 weeks in advance what days I am free for work or "on call". The bank books shifts up to 3 weeks in advance so I generally know what days I am working in advance. Sometimes if someone has gone sick I will get a call the day before & there have been a few occasions where I've only had a couple of hours notice. But as I've placed myself on call for those days I'm always prepared.

As a bank HCA I perform obs, change bed lined, do the personal care for patients, (washing, dressing, toileting), assist with feeding & drinking, if I'm on an out-patient ward it's more of a receptionists role but HCA's don't change dressings, that's the nurses role. As a student nurse it'll be useful experience for you because the more time on the ward the better. On placement we're there as observers so we don't always get to be as hands on as we'd like. (Although we do get to do things!) When I'm working as an hca, I've found that once the qualified nurses know I'm also a student they're always happy to share knowledge & providing I'm not busy they'll let me observe certain procedures.

During term time I usually average one 13 hour shift a week but I have managed to squeeze 2 or 3 in on some rare weeks. Most of my shifts are done during holiday time though, study permitting!

My parents were separated for almost a year before my dad started paying "official" support, and by then they had already gone to court but had not finalized the divorce terms yet. I am not sure whether he had to pay back support or not, but if I were you I would take the kids. She obviously doesn't care enough about them or else she would want to provide for them. They are your kids too and I think that you are the better parent to take care of them. Not to mention she has no way financially to support them.
