Marvin Said:

Do you think that it is my parents decision of what high school i go to?

We Answered:

You should go to the high school of your dreams remember high school is the biggest memories in your life. But you should tell your parents that just because you go to a high school that is prestigious does not mean you will go to a top college. It is the courses you take in high school, gpa,SAT's,extracurricular and community service that makes you get that opportunity. But then again you can always go to the HS your parents want you to go to and take culinary classes and volunteer at an hospital if you want to have the culinary and health service experience. Basically no one can tell you what decisions you want to make it is your choice. But if I were you I would have went to the HS that i really want to go to.

In MN, do you need a 4 year degree to be a first grade teacher?

We Answered:

There is no state where you can secure a teaching position without a 4 year degree.

Herman Said:

can someone tell me how to put this in my own words?

We Answered:

I would read one sentence at a time and think about what it means or what its actually saying. And then write it in plain English. lol

Or use a thesarus to change up all the words. lol

Pearl Said:

Which childhood theorist is this?

We Answered:

The modern "whole child" philosophy of early childhood development is attributed to Russian psychologist Lev Vygotsky (1896-1934), upon whose work Piaget more or less based his own research. I believe the two collaborated before Vygotsky's death. Vyogotsky's daughter, still living in Moscow, carries on an expanded and much refined version of her father's work. You might also look into the contemporary "whole child" work of Dr. Bruce Perry.

what is the best course of study for architecture?

We Answered:

A friend of mine was a math major in undergrad and got her masters in architecture. She said the math major helped her score a perfect score on the gre math section and that that is what got her into the university of pennsylvania's master in architecture program.

Brian Said:

Which program should I enroll in to?

We Answered:

Why are you leaving your future to a complete stranger? If anything, just complete your GE then decide, at least then it'll give you more time and a sample of these majors. You can also go into the career center at your school, and either speak to a counselor or take a test that can give you some direction. Otherwise, I suggest Midwifery.

Is there anything else I could add to this letter regarding early childhood education in Michigan?

We Answered:

Your letter sounds excellent.

This is the only point I can think of that might strengthen your plea-
the at-risk kids get the lunches, and medical screening, but as a whole, the population mostly is not made up of at-risk kids. How will spending money benefit the rest of the population? You cover this in the excellent studies you cite at the beginning of your letter, but could you expand on the way the $17 is saved in future costs?

This was just a suggestion. It is a great letter just the way it is. Thanks for taking up the cause. In Ohio, we don't have the same amount of programs you do. I know one fabulous Preschool teacher who moved back to Michigan because it was so much better. Best of Luck to you, we need to fight for the kids.
