I love the fact you're placing all the blame for some problems in our health care system on women doctors. I have a women doctor and she works very hard and is very devoted to her patients.

It is also not the fault of women doctors for the doctor shortage. It was the shortsightedness of the gov't to restrict the applications to medical school that caused this problem. Also, women doctors cannot prevent their collegues to practice in other countries, it is the individual doctor's decision.

-their parents (obviously)
-their peers
-television
-celebrity endorsements
-general health/health conditions

by this i mean everything from excercise levels to the types of foods is pretty much dictated by these factors

older people:
-habits formed when children
-money (how much they make)
-general health
-peers
-time constraints/stress

pregnant women and breastfeeding:
-body cues (they listen to their body much more than other groups)
-emotions (caused by hormones and also by the stress of having a child)
-the same reasons as the older people group

actually I would say the biggest impact on diet is education, followed by class. These two used to be pretty much the same, but there are now (to be blunt) tons of poor people who eat more informed and healthier diets than rich people.

added: I read the sad answers you received for your other question. It's shocking to think that in this country, my neighbor can call the fire-department to come and get her cat out of a tree, at no charge. But she cannot afford to have an ambulance transport her husband to the hospital while he's having a heart-attack. It's absolutely inexcusable !
