Florida Child Health Insurance

Ralph Said:

cheap florida health insurance?

We Answered:

There are many different companies that have good reputations and offer some form of maternity health insurance rider as an add on to their FL health insurance policies.

Some of the top companies to consider include:

1. Blue Cross Blue Shield of FL
2. Humana One
3. Golden Rule (United Healthcare)

You can also check the average costs of pregnancy in the state of Florida by visiting FloridaCompare.gov.

Be sure and shop around to compare rates and work with an independent FL health insurance agent that can work with multiple companies.

Here is some more information on Florida health insurance and on maternity health insurance:

Dwayne Said:

If you can't afford health insurance for you and your child, is there free insurance in the Florida area?

We Answered:

Yes, I forget the specific name of it but almost all states offer health insurance for families that can't afford it. In Arkansas it was called like ARKids First, or something. Go to your local DHS office.

Willie Said:

Affordable kids health insurance in Florida?

We Answered:

Another option, is to take the health insurance through your new job.

As the welfare health insurance your kids are on, is currently heavily taxpayer subsidized, you're NOT going to get as good a coverage, for $20 a month. It's just not REALISTIC.

Phyllis Said:

Anyone in Miami, Florida have preferred medical insurance?

We Answered:

They are rated C++ (marginal) by A M Best. This is one of the lowest ratings I've seen for an insurance company. This means they may have problems paying on any claims so my opinion would be to look elsewhere.

You'll want to visit a local independent agent. This person knows the market in your area and can find a plan to fit your situation and they don't charge anything for the service.

Be very wary of medical discount plans. These plans are not regulated by the state and the people who sell them do not need to be licensed. This means you have little recourse when you have problems with the plan. If you are tempted by these plans get a list of doctors first (if they won't give one consider it a scam). Call the doctors to make sure they're still taking the plan and they're accepting new patients. Here is an informative link about one plan. http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/wes…

Ruth Said:

I need health insurance, can any one help?? I'm 21, married, no children and live in florida...?

We Answered:

An independent agent can sell you a policy. They cost about $200 a month if you're healthy. Or, you can go for a "major medical" policy, which would run about half that - but have a hefty ($5,000) deductible, which you pay before the insurance kicks in.

the cheapest way to get health coverage is through your employer, because they usually pick up a chunk of the tab for you.
