I am in a relationship with a married woman (whom is separated) and shes carrying my child ..?We Answered:
The real question is, do you want your child or not? If so, prove paternity, and raise him. If not, then let it be her choice, and sign him over to her. However, if you're indeed the father, you need to provide financial support. I would suggest you speak with an attny........??Jacob Said:
Is Welfare really Fair?We Answered:
Okay I didn't even read the whole thing because it was ridiculously long. But I do have some stuff to add.1: They are committing welfare fraud if he is working under the table and not reporting it...with that being said, turn them in because its wrong
2: If she has the time to clean the house and doesn't and its filthy then call CPS
3: They are illegally getting cable? So turn them in for that too.
Dont complain on here turn them into the authorities.
And more to add, welfare people aren't always like that its just scammers like them.
And you made me really mad because you say that:
"the fact that every person on welfare raises a child to be on welfare as an adult"
Okay where did you get that fact from because I would really like to know? That is a fact you made up and its not true. And you seem to imply that welfare people are lazy!
Well you know what I take it to be personally offensive because I am a single mom in full time nursing school. I spend 60 hours a week doing school work and I just got finished doing a full time unpaid internship as well at a hospital. And you know what Im on welfare! Im not lazy nor would I raise my kid to be lazy. I want off and wish i didn't(and never thought I would) have to be on it. I struggle too just like you. I dont get free housing but am lucky enough to have family to live with that I only have to pay a few hundred dollars a month rent.
Leaches like her need to be off the system but don't start thinking all us "welfare rats" are the same.
Now to help you out....if you ever need help with anything like food, clothes, utility/rental assistance, gas cards, car repairs, etc call 2-1-1 and also check around with churches too.

Be daring and move for LOVE or stay put ?We Answered:
If he is so awesome, he will wait for you, whatever you have to do, he will wait. Tell him that you want to start a life with him, but you have to be realistic and get your life together. If your home does not have a mortgage or loan you have to pay, I would consider dropping the price, but on the other hand people that look at the house and see that it is lowered price might ask themselves why it is lowered and not buy it, work with your real estate person and come up with something...Tanya Said:

The new health care plan. Where in the constitution does it say that?We Answered:
Shirley, The US Constitution is a 'bare bones' document, as rightly it should be, which lays out how the US government is set up, who is considered a US citizen, what peoples' basic rights are, things like that. It rightly leaves lesser matters and details, like how health insurance should be addressed, how those in need should be addressed (Social security, welfare, etc.) to legislators because matters like this--the needs of the people--ebb and flow and change over time.Right now is that our healthcare system is broken and the private sector is unable to fix it. Unlike houses and autos, which are material things that people can live without, people can't necessarily pick and choose when it comes to healthcare. If the physician says, "You have appendicitis and you need surgery," you aren't likely to say, "No, I choose not to have appendicitis so forget the surgery," or "I want to price-shop for a cheaper doctor and hospital first."
You say, shirley, that you like the idea of "no pre-existing conditions" for one thing, but why do you think that insurance companies refuse to sign on people with 'pre-existing conditions' in the first place? It's because the people with pre-existing conditions are the ones most likely to incur huge medical expenses. Money has to come from somewhere, so insurance companies would end up charging YOU higher premiums you so that YOU end up paying much, much higher rates for other peoples' medical needs. I don't like the way insurance companies deny healthcare to people with pre-existing conditions, either, but that's precisely why I feel we have to put Obama's ideas into place.
The other thing is that not everyone can get health insurance though their employer (which reduces the cost to the individual) which means they have to pay the entire insurance premium out of their own pocket. Young workers, because they are healthy--and this included 2 of my children for a couple of years-- will often not purchase medical insurance because the odds of them needing $6,000 of healthcare in their 20's is small--better to save the $6,000 and just pay-as-you-need for medical care. HOWEVER, these same people may need $100,000s of medical care 40 years from now. Better to spread healthcare costs evenly for everyone over time.
When you think about it, it's no different than it is for countries with socialized medicine--all income-earners pay taxes for healthcare so that all citizens can get whatever healthcare they need for 'free.'
Our US government is trying hard to deal with the complex problems of US healthcare for the best interests of our nation as a whole. Just as we need to pay taxes to run the government, we will need to pay to make our US healthcare available to all citizens.
Thanks for the interesting question, Shirley.

I'm 18 and my parents won't let me decide over my life and body!?We Answered:
I know this is hard for you to understand, but your parents are right, and are looking out for you in ways you cannot understand yet. They pay for your schooling, housing and medical care, so your not quite the adult you feel that you are. Your a grown child dependent on them for your basic needs and future, so your not independent at all. Independence is not the same thing as freedom. You want freedom to do what you want while still having the dependence to get what you need. Please try to be patient, and respect your parents judgment. Many times teens want to be treated like adults until they are, and your parents have the right idea. If you want to reap the benefits of their generosity toward you ( for they owe you nothing ) then you will have to comply with their rules. It will be worth it.
