Proper prenatal care is important to find, treat, and diagnose any condition that may arrise during pregnancy. It will allow the mother to start "caring" for her child by going to these appts, and start the bonding process. I don't know why you got that wrong, sound great to me. I would be very interested to find out what your teachers correct answer is. The prenatal care appts don't "ensure" the health because things can go wrong, so there is no guarentee, but its designed to help keep them both safe. It also allows the mother to ask question and voice any concerns she may have. You can also get genetic testing, help with figuring out how far along you are, inducing labor if it dosen't start on its own, ect. Will you let us know what your teacher said. Thanks
