nits, can anyone help my kids keep coming home with them,i`ve told the schools, but they still come home with em

We Answered:

For school, if you are 100% sure that there is children attending the school with nits the go to the principle with a written complaint, get a copy of it with the prinicples signature also tell them if action isnt taken you WILL be going higher if they wont do anything, turn to the education department and tell them that you have seen these kids and confronted the school but they wont do nothing......this will help, i did it

for preschool, go to the director with a written complaint, state you have seen these children ect, get a copy of the letter again signed, if this doesnt work then go higher.....

I have 5 girls and i got sick of them coming home with nits, i still treat them every weekend, and i brought a preventive spray as i can sympathis with you and the costs

hope all goes well

About advertising your own published book.?

We Answered:

Assuming you used an actual publisher and not a vanity publisher (or self-published - not the same thing as vanity publishing), the publisher will have some ideas of how the book should be promoted. If they are into the health field, they will have contacts with places that would like to have your book.

However, publishers are often not up on the best markets for a particular book, and you may need to do your own promotions. Look at WHO would likely buy your book. WHERE are you likely to reach them? WHAT do they do to keep up-to-date? WHY would your book matter to them? WHEN would they be most interested in the content? HOW can they make use of the book?

Once you have the answers to these questions, you can promote anywhere - the Web, locally, in newspapers, find places to give talks on the subject and so on.

What college majors should I choose I want to become a pediatrician or pharmacist, but unsure of which one?

We Answered:

Actually, chemistry would probably be the best way to go. The majority of those majors and programs you listed are for people who aren't planning on continuing to professional school. To apply to med school, you'll need to take the premed courses in bio, chem, physics and math, and pharmacy will have a lot of overlap in it's pre-pharmacy courses. So your major really doesn't matter as long as you took the pre-requisite courses, but all the programs you listed are training for specific jobs and aren't general education for professional school, and that's what you want.

My baby is Almost 5 months and weighs...?

We Answered:

Your daughter is fine!! My guess is that she is still not really "mobile" yet, so she still has ALL of her baby fat & stuff on her!! Once she starts crawling, pulling up, walking, running, etc. she will definitely slim up a bit! Also, as she gets older, her height/weight ratio will even out! My daughter used to be a chunky monkey too until she learned how to move around & stuff! Now she's a healthy 3 year old that is 37lbs & 38.5in tall!! Don't worry; your daughter is fine!! :-)

Considering Masters in Nursing or Masters in Public Health?

We Answered:

I like The Professor's answer. Getting a dual degree would be a pretty sweet deal. But if you *must* choose between the MSN and the MPH, well, I'm biased. I have a MPH, and I like it.

Public health is not all about health care admin or policy. We have a lot of nurses where at my office who have MPH degrees and work as supervisors. On the health care end of it, the BSN, MPH folks do a lot of epidemiology and disease surveillance. At many hospitals, either a nurse practitioner or RN MPH works as the infection control practitioner.

I don't know what more you can do with a MSN besides earn a little more pay or teach. But I know with a MPH, you can have access to a lot of other kinds of nursing work.

Discuss It!
