What would you have done in this situation!? REALLY IMPORTANT PLEASE HELP!!!!!?

We Answered:

First and foremost I want to congratulate you on your remission. I hope everything stays great for you. Cancer is a scary disease for an older person who has lived their life. I can't imagine being that young and facing it. Blessings to you.

As for this woman- In a situation like this I would be profoundly hurt. I wouldn't show it, however. I would remain silent, and simply look her in the eye. After an unnerving moment I would say to her... "Are you going to tell me that you are full african? Are you implying that your family never mixed somewhere down the road? If you are I must say I find that laughable! However, even though you were blatantly rude to me with no sign of provocation I will not lower myself to the level you have chosen. Instead I will grace you with a compliment. I find you to be a very beautiful individual physically. It is quite a shame you cannot be beautiful of mind as well. Good day to you Madame." At which case I would quietly walk away. There is a lot to be said in having grace and dignity.

However, I must say that your silence was profound. Sometimes silence says more than words ever could. You did not insult in turn. You didn't raise your voice or start crying. Your reaction could be taken as maturity beyond your years. She probably felt like a real **** after she left you.

I wouldn't waste anymore time on thinking about her. You have a new chance to live. Enjoy it. So many are not as lucky as you have been so far. I am so happy to hear you are making it. Keep on fighting. You are a beautiful person no matter what anyone says. Blessings once more. Good day.

What do you think of Greg Mortensen and his two books of Afghanistan?

We Answered:

I had to read Three Cups of Tea for summer reading. (The young adult version btw)

The book itself was okay. It could have been a little more interesting, but then again, non-fiction really isn't my favorite.
His story and his accoplishments are very intresting, courageous and inspiring, however.

So basically: I didn't really like the book, but I like what he's doing for the world. :)

Health & Marijuanavey: My sister is smoking way too much pot and won't stop for anything, what now?

We Answered:

There's research supporting marijuana use and going against marijuana use. Where as most research in favor of marijuana says there are no harmful side effects, most research against marijuana says that the side effects are pretty minor. For women, it means an increase in testosterone, slightly higher chance of fetus malformation, and I believe a hangover in some people. It also has short-term mental effects, such as hazy memory, distortion of your senses, and that's about it. She will run into legal troubles if caught, which aren't that major either.

Also, you can't get addicted to marijuana physically. It's possible to get a slight psychological addiction that can be overcome easily. But it does effect everyone differently.

tl;dr: Don't worry about it.
