Nhs Child Health

Lorraine Said:

what are the chances of my gf getting a sterilisation reversal on the national health service (nhs)?

We Answered:

Your chances are low to zero unless you can prove that the first mention of sterilization was while she was on the operating table. She made a bad decision for her. You both will have to save up and pay for it yourselves. If stress of not having yet another child put her on anti-depressants, she should not have more children. More likely, she had prior problems with depression and decided now that she needs assistance.

< i have the right to a child of my own >>

You are kidding, right? What if she couldn't have any more children ever? Because hon, if you can't come up with the money, that's the reality.

Bob Said:

Why has my Health Visitor visited when my child is 3 and a half?

We Answered:

I dont think it is unusual to get visits from them up until school age...mine certainly called around when mine was well over two...it probably depends on your area...I believe that she would have asked more direct questions relating to you and your mental health...just be careful...they can and do remove children if things like this happen more than once. Good luck and try to forget it now...if you feel low do tell the doctor...that wont get your child removed...seeking help is a GOOD sign...going to ground when unwell is not.

'Pledge broken' on child mental health patients - yet another one! should we give new labour anymore chances?

We Answered:

All we hear from Nu Labour is rhetoric and no substance, talk and no-action, follow but no-lead, Nu Labour have systematically sponged off the backs of True Labour voters, who now find themselves without a party of first choice.

Never have I been so disillusioned and fearful as to what my kids and grand-kids will have to do to make a half decent life for themselves in Britain to-day, never.

Natalie Said:

Do you or your child get free vitamins on the NHS?

We Answered:

It is now generally accepted that there is little place for vitamin supplements in the UK. The are neither necessary nor beneficial and therefore are rarely either recommended or prescribed.

Dora Said:

How do I find or get a referral to a paediatric dentist?

We Answered:

Sorry I don't know how things work in England. Under normal circumstances you don't need a referral for a pediatric dentist. However I am in Canada and I had to use public insurance and I had to go see a public health dentist to get approved to see a private pediatric dentist.

Jesus Said:

making a complaint about local nhs mental health team?

We Answered:

I don't know how to answer this question other than to say it is outrageous, you have been put at the mercy of either an over zealous or an incompetent one. Your wife is no more a danger to your kids than anyone else. I see my psychiatrist every 6 weeks and my CPN visits me at home once a month. I have 2 children, 11 and 8 and they have never been in harms way nor has it ever come up in conversation with my CPN or Psychiatrist. You should defiantly at the very least ask for another assessment by another CPN. Failing this, make an official complaint;
