Why would anyone consider a prayer circle more helpful than say something simple like oxygen if they can't breathe. Is it that hard to do your prayers AND call for medical help? Oi.

I don't know what mantra japa is, but prayer is like a phone call - what's really important is WHO is on the receiving side. God expects us to talk to Him like a Father. When you called your dad while in college, asking for some money, was there alot of mechanical repetition involved?

I think if you are praying for God's will to be revealed you should ask for and expect that it will not need to be interpreted or analyzed and instead look for it to be crystal clear. Anyone looking for a "sign" usually finds or makes one if that's what they want to find! Be patient for God to show you want He wants...you have 3 children who need their mother, risking your health for another doesn't seem prudent, but God is the author of life, so if another comes your way you must also ask Him to guard your health so that you can give to all 4 what they need from a healthy mom. Theists will march from here to Timbuktu and climb to the top of the highest mountain to proclaim the healing power of prayer...but if they happen to fall off said mountain and spread their faces across it like jelly on bread, then they'll beg and plead for medical science to save their ignorant lives.
