You certainly can. If he doesn't make much money then you may not get more than $18.69 a week. I saw a story on CNN about a young man that had something like 10 kids and he was only ordered to pay $2.00 per month for some of the kids because he doesn't make much. Check to see if there's a legal aid society in your area or someone that will take it pro bono. We just spent about $10K for an attorney and didn't get near that when it was said and done. Since you are 17, and frankly, broke - you qualify for state aid programs for pregnant women. I'm being general there, but every state has a program.

I don't think you and your mother are communicating properly. This is an important phase of your pregnancy and you need to see doctors.
