Chad Said:
Would you happen to have any 24 hour nurse hotlines? We Answered:
Try l-800-288-2264. Just follow directions , and you'll have a nurse within 2 minutes. It does not matter if you're not a member. Good luck!Tanya Said:
Should I give her Benadryl? We Answered:
Call the local hospital and ask to speak to an advise nurse. If there is none available, ask for the emergency room and then ask to talk to a nurse. Tell her what you told us.The main side effect of Benedryl is drowsiness. It is an ingredient in most allergy medications. Can you go to a store and check the regular dosage of Benedryl in those brands? See what the dosage is for 6 years old or less. The dosage for an infant has to be nil, virtually nothing.
While you are looking around at the drug store, Check out LANACAINE or SOLARCAINE based lotion or jell. Lanacaine is a topical pain killer. You just rub it on for instant relief. It would be in the pain relief section for bug bites and sunburn. It also comes in SPRAY form.
Possibly a better strategy would be to increase fluid intake to move the offensive substance out of your babies body. Ask the nurse about this.
Ask the pharmacist for suggestions.
Get some ear plugs while you are at the drugstore.
Good luck, honey

How much bleeding is normal from a surgery drainage site?We Answered:
I've had two surgeries. I think it shouldn't be pouring with blood but a bit of bleeding is fine but it has to be bright red, lighter than actual blood.Charles Said:
anyone know who i could speak with?We Answered:
I'm in Indiana so I'm not really familiar with Houston's hotlines but if I were you I would just call a couple hospitals and ask the operator/receptionist if they have a free nurse's hotline. If they say no then ask them if they know of any hospitals that do provide this service. Thats what I did when I couldn't get hold of my doctor a few wks ago.I had to call 4 hospitals but I finally got hold of one that had the 24 hour nurse's hotline.Mathew Said:

Do i have a mental disorder?We Answered:
There are so many things that can affect the mind that jumping to conclusions would be wrong. You should have a good physical which includes all your hormones being checked. A thyroid problem or any number of glandular issues can bring on those feelings. If nothing physical is found then you can start to to consider it an emotional issue and even then do not read too much into it. People read things and make it worse because only a trained person can make a diagnosis.Whatever it is it will be cured and you will get better. Fear will only make it worse but no matter what, you will find you will be alright.
