It is not unreasonable. Most hospitals put out a book of staff. Our's mails it out, with pictures of the doctors, where/when they went to school, if they are board certified, wtc.

Ask... They should have it.

It's a formula that works, I guess. Like crime shows (as someone else said), doctor shows have proven to be hits over the last few decades. Most of them don't make it, thankfully. I don't know why they think that shows that revolve around hospitals and the "relations" of the staff are so appealing. It's not very realistic if you ask me. I've been around hospitals enough to know that what the staff talks about is not that interesting...

I don't know why they don't make more shows like The Office, that are random and seem a bit more realistic as far as how the people relate to each other.

If you are overweight at all, losing the weight can really make a difference. I only mention this because it seems many doctors don't have the nerve to tell women this.

There are some prescriptions you can take to help regulate fertility. Ask your doctor for a referral to a fertility specialist if you haven't already.

Part of the current proposals, and that is all they are right now is committee proposals, account for creating more general practice physicians by giving free or very small interest government loans to med students and by work on lowering the cost of state run medical schools.

They have obviously had very a bad experience (or several, more likely) with something that their shrink said to them and they just didn't want to believe the doctor.

Interns and residents generally get four weeks together per year. Many opt to do an additional clinical rotation they wouldn't otherwise get during that month "off".
