Becoming A Doctor

Lori Said:

Can I still become a doctor if I am still currently working on my associate degree in nursing?

We Answered:

I think that you should do what you want. I am sure you have heard people say things like: "If you really want it you can get it." It may be a far cry, but if you want it bad enough you will do the work required. There is no reason that you cannot become a doctor if that is what you want.

Currently I am going through the same problem. I am in school to be a nurse and I would eventually like to get my PhD, but I have my doubts, as I grew up with a family similar to yours. I know that it sucks. If this is the kind of support system you have, maybe it is about time you walk away and find a new one. With a support system like that you might find yourself failing. Again, I turn to another useful quote, "If you say it enough you will believe it." The same goes if someone else tells you that you will fail. If someone is leaning over your shoulder telling you that you will fail you will likely fail.

Don't listen to the hype! Do your own thing and do what you believe you can do!

Good luck my friend!
