Call A Doctor

Brad Said:

About 12 weeks pregnant adominal pain and blood when wiping, should I call doctor?

We Answered:

Try wiping without peeing and see if there is blood. If it's only when you pee and wipe...it's probably coming from your urethra i.e. UTI...or from your cervix i.e. from a yeast infection. I had some red dots on two occasions when I wiped with my first child and it was a mild yeast infection that was affecting my cervix and one was a mild UTI..neither had any other symptoms besides the light red spots when I wiped. Either way you'll need a dr. to confirm.

Today I ate a deli sandwich from? 5 months pregnant and just paranoid?Should I be okay or should i call doctor?

We Answered:

if you don't feel sick then don't worry about it, you would feel sick/will feel sick if there was any contamination. to be honest, i worried about this a little at first and then my friend asked her doctor *her appt. was b4 mine lol* her doctor laughed at her, i eat one at least 3 times a week and have been fine. its a small risk, don't worry about it because chances are you are just fine...if you start getting flu like symptoms in the next 3-10 days then go to your doctor. until then if it worries you don't eat any more deli meat or soft cheeses and make sure absolutely all your meats are cooked all the way. no sense in worrying about it now, its not like you could throw it up and avoid any chance of getting sick. :)

Help had to call doctor 6wks today and blood?

We Answered:

A little bit of blood isn't that uncommon, particularly right after sex... Spotting can be perfectally normal. Only worry if you start having heavier bleeding and cramps.

Angel Said:

Ketones two nights in a row and no on call doctor?

We Answered:

ALL doctors have an on-call for after hours. You can always go to an urgent care center, its much cheaper than a regular ER.

Freddie Said:

Do you call doctor when you lose your mucus plug?

We Answered:

When I lost mine, my doc was less than impressed. I was hopeful that it meant labor might soon follow... but no such luck. I think they would be more concerned with contractions rather than your mucus plug. Also if there was a "bloody show" lots of blood in the plug, not just the pinkish tinged goo. (I can't think of a better way to describe it... although *gags* works!)

When was your last appointment? Have they check to see if you are dilating yet? 32 weeks is pretty early, if you don't have a doctors appointment coming up in the next few days I would call your doc in the morning. He/She may want to check and see if you are dilating.

I have heard that women can lose their plug early on... and then grow/develop a new one.

If those contractions start again and get more intense... go right in to labor and delivery. Better safe than sorry!

Good Luck
