Check Out Doctors

Jerome Said:

how much does it cost for a doctors check up?

We Answered:

It would vary.
In Chicago area, it would be about $90-$100 for a check-up/doctor visit.
Overall, depending on where you are in the country, it would range between $50 and $120.

Nathaniel Said:

Where can I go to have doctors check up with out insurance?

We Answered:

Check with your local and county health department, most will have a website. Most local governments have a health clinic that will offer discounted medical exams. There are a lot of private practices which now focus on patients without health insurance because getting paid in cash is easier. Check the websites of the local health departments first then Google health clinics in your area.

Laurie Said:

how do doctors check the hyman to find out if a girl is a virgin?/?

We Answered:

A broken hyman doesn't necessarily indicate the girl isn't a virgin. They can break on their own or through other types of trauma.

Francis Said:

If you go to the doctors and they check out your body and don't mention you have cancer, does that mean you do?

We Answered:

Sure, if a doctor doesn’t mention you have disease it means you have all of them.
What reason would they have to lie to you, not treat you properly or risk their license for you?
Have you considered maybe it is just a wart?
If you don’t trust your doctor get another one.

Ralph Said:

Do eye doctors check cornea when you get your eyes checked out?

We Answered:

Yes they do check your corneas and the overall health of your eye.

I am not all that sure about lasik surgery as I have only heard of people who have been like -2.00 who have had dramatic improvement. My friend has a similar prescription to yours (-8.00 & -6.5) and her eye dr (who is one of the best in the country) actually thinks LASIK is just a money maker with limited benefit and no evidence for longterm effectiveness or safety. He recommended that she has a lens inplant instead as it is permanent and safety proven and satisfaction guaranteed (other than usual risks of surgery). You should go see a reputable opthalmologist about it and not just go to one at a LASIK centre (they get paid to recommend LASIK) and investigate all your options thoroughly with the advice of an eye dr that is not going to make profit off you regardless of what your decision is. Don't just go down the LASIK route as 'blindly' (excuse the pun!) just because it is the most well known and popular thing right now. Honestly, I have known at least nine people who have had it and as I said before, only one of them were happy and she had a low prescription ot start with. All the others have had little benefit or the 'benefit' had worn off over time.

BTW, you have bad eye sight but not VERY bad and if LASIK goes wrong you could end up with VERY bad eyes. I have a much higher prescription than you do (-10.00)- so I understand how inconvenient it is to have life a blur beyond a few inches from your face. But check out your options thoroughly first.

contemplating comsmetic sugery. where can you go to check out your doctors safety and competence?

We Answered:

My doctor had me meet his former patients who were doing the same procedure I was getting, which was very helpful and gave me peace of mind.
