Well you have a long time to decide b/c you still have undergrad. However, if you want to apply for a BS/MD program, I would try it out b/c your basically guaranteed for med school. I believe UConn offers this, and some others. (Look it up)

College and med school are important mostly for how well they prepare you for the next step in the process, i.e. doing well at a better college will help with med school admission, and completing the program at a great med school will help with getting a better residency. Residency is where one learns to become a practitioner of whichever specialty one has chosen. For pediatric surgery, the residency will be somewhere in the range of 5-6 years and one might also need to do a fellowship.

my brother studied in IDC. he got his nursing degree from there. it's a good school. my brother passed his boards on the first take.

i don't know about their procedures for foreign students. as for the dormitory, i think they don't have one. my brother opted to stay in an aparment. but IDC does have its own hospital which serves as the training ground for its students.

i found the information below online but when i tried their website, it is having some glitches. just contact the school and ask them your questions. good luck. :)

also, you may want to consider WVSU or the western visayas state university. it's a really good school but with lower tuition fees as it is a state university.
