Different Types Of Doctors

Glen Said:

what are the different types of doctors?

We Answered:

Ophthalmology is the least bloody. They do some surgical procedures but the eye tends not to bleed much. G.P.'s don't see much blood either.

Of all the things in medicine to get used to, blood is actually one of the easiest.

Toni Said:

What are the different types of doctors that work in the Emergency Room?

We Answered:

Basically the average emergency room has a simple GP (General Practionher) or Intern or REsident.

Some, not all, hospitals have trauma centers with trauma specialists.

Some, not all, have heart surgerons on hand.

Generally if an emergency room needs a specialist they call for one (the "on call" specialist) or use a Medical Temp Agency and have one sent out.

If a hospital has a trauma specialist, general surgeon or heart surgeon ON DUTY, they also probably have an Anesthesiologist or Nurse Anesthistist on duty.
