You can go to your state's Board of Healing Arts website and look up your Dr. Usually it will tell you if his/her credentials are current and if they have had any disciplinary action against them.

I'm not sure where you are but in Arizona, I go to the website of the Arizona Medical Board or Arizona Board of Medical Examiners. Do and internet search in your area for the local Medical Board. They usually post infromation about doctors in your area on those sites.

It turns out that many of the people in Mexico who call themselves Doctors are not really doctors.

I know that people go to Mexico to have plastic surgery done because it is cheap there.

However many of the characters who have set themselves up as plastic surgeons have never been to medical school.

there have been several cases of men who had been orderlies in hospitals and had observed some plastic surgery decided to set themselves up as doctors and do cheap plastic surgery.

Unfortunately the results were often hideous and they had done so much damage that it was almost impossible for real doctors to repair the damage.
