www.webmd.com is a pretty good resource. Also, you may want to call your local hospital and ask them for the most recent information on HPV to be mailed to her. You are a good friend, best of luck!

Dawn Said:

i work for a doctor. can this doctor provide free healthcare to some employees and not other employees?

We Answered:

Both sound like illegal practices. The first sounds like favoritism. That doesn't sound like equal opportunity employment to me. Also, doctors take the hippocratic oath and are under legal obligation not to discuss confidential information.

part of the hippocratic oath (modernized):
"I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know." http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/doctors/oat…

"Services provided to clients and patients are generally treated as private. This means the professionals and their support staff should take reasonable steps based on appropriate standards of practice to insure they do not reveal your identity, discuss information, or reveal the content of their communications with others. Privacy is not a statutory protection, but rather a professional relationship. Information is not confidential if you are not in a treatment relationship.

Confidentiality is a legal protection and assurance of your right to privacy to the fullest extent allowable by state law. Psychotherapy, counseling, assessment and associated services that are related to diagnosis and treatment are confidential and protected in accordance with State law. Patient confidentiality applies only to those aspects related to a diagnostic and treatment relationship with you."

Doctors should not discuss ANY personal info about a patient or employee if for no other reason than human respect.

Miriam Said:

Doctor information web site?

We Answered:

Below is a link to a very complete checklist at the US Department of Health and Human Services - Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

The checklist has links to several resources to assist you.

Good luck! :-)

Editing to add a link to eBreastaug.com which has a fairly exhaustive link page. Don't let the name throw you, if you can check for one specialty, such as plastic surgery, chances are you can research other specialties.

Debbie Said:

I need to find out the public information on a dentist that is free on the web.?

We Answered:

You can go to the state board web site in KY and you will be able to find out if he has any prior claims against him.

I wish you would remove his name from this site, because he is not able to present his side fo the story.

Discuss It!
