Sherry Said:
What other women out there can't lose weight despite healthy diet and exercise? We Answered:
i too am struggling to lose weight. i go to the gym religiously and have a trainers to consult anytime i need them. i eat healthy, low sodium, low calorie, low fat, high protein foods. do i lose weight? nope. i'm not one of those women who think that they are overweight, but are really fit and don't realize it. i am truly overweight. although i remain overweight, my doc says that i am healthier by continuing this lifestyle. she continually reminds me that it took years to put on the weight and it may take years to lose it.i don't have any advice for you other than to keep at it. think of it this way...you've lost 14 pounds in 9 months. that's 56 pounds in 3 years! i put on my weight 5 to 10 pounds a year and it may only come off that quick...but gaining or losing, every pound counts!

Has anyone tried that Wu Yi Weight Loss Tea????We Answered:
Ah, Shanti means peace so relax.AND STAY AWAY FROM THAT TEA
It is just plain dangerous. It is a powerful diuretic so you lose weight, temporarily, but it causes all kinds of problems, especially in the long term.
I was not kidding about relaxing, it often helps in asthma and exercise.
Along with the walking start doing some resistance exercises. These can be body weight exercise or even lifting water bottles and cans before you move up to weights or resistance bands. You can find instructions all over the net.
Resistance exercise adds muscle. If your a girl don't worry it does not bulk you up, it just tones.
The more muscle you have the more calories you burn just doing nothing, it raises your metabolism, so you lose weight as long as you don't eat more.
It took time to get up to your weight and it will take some time to come down. With the asthma you need to take some exercise slow but the moer you work up to the more you will be able to do without an attack.
I know a lot of athletes who are asthmatic who work out all the time, they just worked up to it slowly.

Body temperature and weight loss question? We Answered:
My dear friend in the Goddess and in weight loss,I lost 37 pounds last year, as of about October of 2006. The ensuing winter of 2006-2007 must have been one of the mildest, temperature wise, around here in Oakland, but I swear, I froze my buns off! Every day I was a a human popcycle, shivering under layers of sweaters and stuff.
I definitely attribute it to losing my "winter layer of fat." It only makes sense, since your body was getting insulation from the fat and now its gone. It was an unexpected consequence of losing weight, and just look at how much you have lost! (you go girl!!) It is great and fantastic, but it was a lot of insulation.
As to how long it will last, I am just approaching my second winter with being thin, so who is to say how cold I will feel this winter.... I have a feeling, thought, that exercise will help to speed up my metabolism and that that will help in turning up my internal thermostat. I haven't consulted anyone, but that feels like a logical solution to me, because when I get up there in front of my classroom, I start out with all kinds of layers of clothes on, and I work hard and get physical in the classroom, and pretty soon I get too hot and I peel down to just a shirt and jeans or whatever.
congratulations again on your weight loss! I bet you look sexy as hell, so it is probably worth shivering sometimes!
Bright Blessings,
Lady Morgana )0(

Caffeine and weight loss??We Answered:
There are some benefits to caffeine in weight loss. There are also downsides.Caffeine is a stimulant - so it will make you feel energetic. It will help with metabolism. It also helps to curb appetite SLIGHTLY.
But there's a downside - too much caffeine causes water retention and/or dehydration - most often when dehydrated, the body will crave FAT. Also, after the energetic feeling, you can and often will have a low....feel logey and tired.
Green tea is very good for you. If you stick with one cup a day, you'll most likely find it's helping slightly.
half a pound a week is FANTASTIC weight loss - look at it this way - you could be GAINING.....:D Keep up the awesome work! As you produce muscle, you'll find your metabolism speeds up!! Sometimes, it takes a LONG time of fighting our bodies to get them to realize we mean business, and we're not going to give up and get lazy again!
(Another woman working on 70 pounds!)

Cinnamon for weight loss?We Answered:
It works somewhat, nothing really that great though. It does something with your blood sugar and insulin....I'm not too sure. It won't be a magic treatment though.Mark Said:
Can I get a doctor to write me a prescription for Alli weight loss pills? ?We Answered:
Hi DearGet yourself Medically examined for Thyroid and diabetes, also check your blood pressure. If you have any of the above conditions then get them treated first. There are no weight loss pills in the world.
