Doctors Community Hospital

Gwendolyn Said:

Can I go to the local community hospital unaccompanied by an adult if I'm 13?

We Answered:

It is up to the individual doctor and hiss assessment of your maturity and ability to assess any medical management offered. Most doctors might well consider 13 years a bit borderline and may feel parental consent is needed for any action he might consider.

Jessie Said:

anyone delivered a baby at san dimas community hospital?

We Answered:

I actually delivered at Foothill pres when I lived in Glendora 5 months ago. And I had a wonderful experience with them, however, I've been to San dimas community a few times (their emergency room when my son was sick) and my sister in law actually delivered her baby there, she says nothing but great things about them. And whenever I've been in there, the nurses & doctors have been so helpful, it's not as new as foothill pres but I actually think their doctors are a little more thorough.

Veronica Said:

Community v. hospital acquired pneumonia, should I trust my doctor?

We Answered:

You could have caught it just by passing someone who had it, or was getting over it... all they'd have to do is breath near you. Maybe a patient wandering the halls.. Or somebody who passed you at random outside. I doubt it had to do with hospital personnel. They wear gloves, masks, and use antiseptics.

Oh, and by the way, no matter HOW you got it, pneumonia can kill you.

Warren Said:

Any hospital based community nurses out there? ?

We Answered:

I work in Home Support and am in complete agreement with you! Home Care simply cannot keep up with the growing demand, Care Aides are either over worked and under paid, or simply unable to give some clients the care that is necessary. Clients cannot always afford Home Care. Hospitals run in code purples for weeks on end, and staffing is impossible to maintain. Is it like this everywhere? I love my vocation but it does get overwhelming sometimes.

Chris Said:

Is it ethically wrong for doctors to date their collegues or other staff at the hospital?

We Answered:

There are workplace ethics issues with dating subordinates ( or superiors). Certainly there are professional ethics problems with patients. I see no problem with dating those on the same level, although it can create conflict later. That applies to anyone, medical personnel are no different in that respect.

Friends of patients are certainly not a problem.

Minnie Said:

Answer these questions about community service at a hospital plzzzz?

We Answered:

Yes,,,,NO,,,,Yes,,,,In my area they would have programs for you during the summer, each hospital is different, you will just have to call or stop by and talk with the volunteer coodinator,,,,Not sure about the Library,, at the hospital where I volunteer people donate magazines and papers and books and volunteers go around and pass them out, its a great job because you get to meet and talk to alot of people and you help them forget about the conditions for awhile,, its truly a blessing!!
