the chances of this happening are very slim. doctors take measures against this. thats why it is always so cold in the waiting room. germs dont grow in a cool environment. but to be on the safe side dont sit too close to anyone and dont touch your face while you are there and wash your hands well. you could also take antibacterial hand wash with you. hope this helps and good for you for being a support for someone that is very thoughtful of you.
