Doctors In My Area

Anthony Said:

Pains in the liver area.... Doctors say it's a pulled muscle. Your thoughts/experiences?

We Answered:

The vast majority of people with gallbladder disease also have gallstones, according to Merck Manual Medical Library. When a stone blocks the bile duct leading out of the gallbladder, bile flow is slowed or stopped. During a gallbladder attack people experience severe, persistent pain on the right side of the abdomen just under the rib cage. The pain may radiate to the upper back and right shoulder blade. These episodes of pain tend to come and go, and may last for hours or days depending on the type and extent of gallbladder disease.

The biliary tract consists of small tubes (ducts) that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder and then to the small intestine. The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped sac located beneath the liver. It stores bile. When bile is needed as when people eat, the gallbladder contracts, pushing bile through the bile ducts into the small intestine. This is called liver and gallbladder disorders.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

Boston area doctors to help get off Suboxone?

We Answered:

The doctors at Adcare in Worcester, Ma have a Suboxone (outpatient) program which will gradually wean him off. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't cover the office visit but may cover the medicine.

Good luck, withdrawal is tough!

Denver area doctors that prescribe Percocet?

We Answered:

Physicians who are not your primary care doctor are often hesitant on prescribing narcotics. It would probably be easier to save your last prescribed bottle to show the doctor your history of the medicine. If you have gone over the dosing limitation (about 2 p/day) then they more likely wont give you more.

Doctors control my prescription of oxycodone by only giving me ten at a time. Just keep in mind that doctors don't want to be held liable for an addiction problem, accidental overdosing or even death due to mixing drugs especially if it's not their patient or they don't know you.

Barbara Said:

If Im having pain in my belly button (NOT PREGNANT) what kind of doctor should I go see?

We Answered:

The first things that come to mind are appendicitis (which starts around the belly button before going to the lower right side) or a hernia.

Call your primary care doctor and let them know and they will tell you who to see if they can't help!

Feel better!!
