It's true that doctors with wester education preferred, but there is no law that says that others are excluded. You just have to pass the MoH or Dohms exam depending for whom and where you want to work.

To bad that you did not mention which hospital you are working for. Please note, that my answer is regarding you working in a private Hospital and not in any Government Hospital. Government employees do not fall under the UAE Labor Law.

You belong to the professionals, who are allowed to transfer their sponsorship provided always (where the transfer is from a private sector position to another private sector position) that:

You have a valid residence visa,
Completed at least one year of service with your current employer and
you have obtained the consent of your sponsor to transfer his sponsorship to the new employer (NOC).

Apply for a new labour permit
Pay transaction fees
Categories: Transaction charges
PhD or MA holder moves to a company in category A: Dh1,500; category B: Dh2,500; category C: Dh3,500.
BA holder or equivalent moves to a company in category A: Dh3,000; category B: Dh3,500; category C: Dh4,000.
All others moving to a company in category A: Dh5,000; category B: Dh5,500; category C: Dh6,000.
If you have not completed three years in the same company/hospital, an extra Dh3,000 is charged.

You are with your current sponsor just for 4 months, well there are the so called "one year non-completion fees" which is calculated at the rate of Dh 500 per month. For instance, if you continue a period of 4 months service only then you would be obliged to pay a fee of Dhs 4.000 for 8 months.
Worth saying is that this new law is not applicable in Abu Dhabi but might be in the future.

Keyword is: NOC. You have to find an amicable solution to solve this problem.
