Doctors Questions And Answers

Tony Said:

how to get the answers from doctors to our questions online?

We Answered:

Post your question in the medical section. Use decent grammar and full sentences. There's a handful of us who answer questions that we have an opinion on or interest in.

Kathy Said:

Why do people ask questions in MH then ignore the answers from Doctors and Nurses?

We Answered:

I don't think there are actually many qualified doctors and nurses who use Y!A, and you should also be wary because as you've discovered people can claim to be anything on here.

As for "having a conversation with yourself", I think people do it out of arrogance really. They want to say something but there's no open question that allows them too. It's also point gamers and there are those in all sections of the site!

I think people like that are in the minority though. I've answered in the MH section for a while now and have come accross a lot of really genuine, helpful and intelligent contributers.

Bradley Said:

doctors answering questions online: a legal risk?

We Answered:

I'm a doctor, and I'm not worried.

I have not established a doctor-patient relationship with anyone on this forum, which is the foundation for any legal action.

Now, if payment were involved, there may be issues, and I'd be wary.

Jesus Said:

What is the best health website which we can post questions to the doctors and have answers in return?

We Answered:

Dr.s swear to the hypocratic oath as far as i understand, not being a doctor but being comprehensive of their ways through the study of doctors and their crafts.

First a doctor shoulg get about 80% of their diagnoses from a patient and you can't really do that without actually seeing a patient so chances of misdiagnosis rise dramatically when all relevant facts significant or not to the patient are not visible for the doc to investigate, a good doctor knows his patient before diagnosing or prescribing treatment for the diagnosis he makes.

Secondly,
a doctor is not allowed by the hypocratic oath to discuss your medical conditions with you, unless you are his son or another doctor for according to the hypocratic oath a doctor may only discuss his craft devotion and work in medicine with his sons, other doctors, and Zeus. - that's it. not the patient.
