Can I get into Medical school with my GPA?

We Answered:

It may be a struggle to get into a Med School with those scores. BUT, it is not out of the question. If you are asked about the scores in your interview or essay, highlight how you have improved yourself throughout your academic life, despite the obstacles that you have faced.

Good luck

What can be done????????????

We Answered:

Find out if the SIL is willing to get a 2nd opinion on the brain tumor, from the neuro center near you. If she is not, and has just accepted that she's terminal with a year or so left to live, you may not be able to change her mind. She had a crappy childhood, and so chooses to be near the only "family" member who did not kick her out. It doesn't matter that your SIL brought her troubles on herself, she's feeling rejected, and sees this illness (if in fact it's for real, which I'd still have my doubts without a 2nd opinion from another doctor), as a way to get back at the family and kick them out of her life. You can offer support to your MIL, emotional support. But don't offer to have your SIL move in with you at any point. You need to consider your children, and if you'd really want someone unstable, like your SIL living with you.

Can Paramedics volunteer their skills overseas?

We Answered:

I'm sure you could find an agency. Go to your library's career resource section, and tell the librarian what you want to do. If you have a certificate from Canada, it's likely to be accepted anywhere. Of cousre, knowing a bit of the language of your destination can be a help as well, and you will really be appreciated for showing how much you care.

Can i bring dexedrine from Mexico thru the Canadian border if i am not ADHD?

We Answered:

You're really going to go to Mexico just because you're to lazy to study like a normal person? If your shrink says you're fine without them, you should be without them.

The honest truth is that I don't know in your country, but I would believe most western countries like Canada would have regulation over bringing pills into the country.

What are a nurse's duties compared to a doctor's?

We Answered:

Nurses and doctors have completely different responsibilities.
Physicians diagnose and treat patients. They can order tests, perform procedures and prescribe medications.
Nurses give medications, help patients with daily activities (cleaning, eating etc.), perform minor procedures such as blood draws, IV insertions, foley catheter insertions, take vital signs. Nurses usually have more direct contact with the patients. In the OR the nurse can hand instruments to the surgeon or circulate. Nurses cannot diagnose, order tests or meds.
Nurse practitioners are more independent and can diagnose, perform procedures and prescribe under the supervision of a physician. I'm not sure if this profession exists in Canada.
I would tell you to look into the physician assistant profession however I think it has only just been introduced in Canada.
