College posgrads by specialty?We Answered:
One of your problems in acquiring this info might be that even within each discipline - different organizations will keep their own specific statistics. Here are a few examples of what I meanhttp://orise.orau.gov/sep/files/NE-Brief…
And even here where you think the answer will be it isn't!

Unless I'm missing something (perhaps the Bureau of Labor statistics, although there it is NOT graduates) you've got a tall task ahead

Why am I having such a hard time finding a doctor under my insurance plan?We Answered:
~~Maybe there is something not updated in your book or website you are looking at. Blue Cross is accepted at almost every doctors in California. They are one of the largest companies in California.Call the membership number on the back of your card. They have a customer representative to do this work for you. Just explain what you need and they will give you provider names and numbers. It's the only way I do these things, because there are no error this way. Good luck!~~

How do you start in your specialty after medical school? We Answered:
After medical school, graduates will choose what residency they will enroll in. This is how their specialty is chosen. There are many different residencies; internal medicine, pediatrics, family practice, surgery, emergency medicine, just to name a few. Some of these are three year programs, some longer. After residency, some doctors choose to specialize further, in subspecialties such as pediatric cardiology, adult cardiology, or cardiothoracic surgery. These programs, called fellowships, are usually at least 3 years, but can be longer.Hope this helps.
As far as the MCAT goes, take as many practice tests as you can. They can be from books or CD-ROMs. Also, I know that Kaplan has a good course, but it is expensive.

If a doctor is not a member of the AMA, is he still a good doctor? We Answered:
If he is Board Certified that is a good thing. I'm a physical therapist and I do see cases where patients don't see the surgeon for 6 week after surgery. They go back and have the stitches taken out after about 12 days then may follow up with the doctor 4 weeks after that. Any chance that when you went back for the weekly cast changes you saw a PA (physician's assistant). If I'm not mistaken they bill under the MD and your visits would have counted and billed as an MD visit. That PA may have even assisted with your surgery and you not know about it. As far as him moving around, that does not mean much. He may have just fulfilled a 1 year contract at each location and moved on to other or better opportunities. Sometimes the best surgeons have the worst bedside manner. Bedside manner and surgical skills are two separate things. If you got a copy of your medical records, you would see who treated you during your weekly cast changes and see things from their perspective. There may be a logical explanation for the chain of events that occured.
I don't know weather the doc did the right things or not, what I do know is that you are the patient/customer and this was a terrible experience for you. It has left you angry, unsatisfied with your care and you feel helpless and mistreated. I'm sure you will not recommend that doc to anyone and this experience will be with you for a long time. I hope in the end the ankle heals and you can move on. Dwelling on this will only hurt you more. Think how much greif you have already experienced other than the surgery and physical problems that followed.
I's so sorry about your bad experience.
