What is life like in Phoenix Arizona?

We Answered:

l. Yes, you can live your life without feeling like you're going to be mugged or violated. Just don't live in the ghetto. Avoid south Phoenix and Maryvale.
2. Mesa? I think you're confusing stories you've heard about Arpaio and racial profiling (Mexicans).
He's done a lot of good riding us of illegals also.
3. Groceries will run you about the same
4. We have excellent hospitals here. I'm not real familiar with the ones in Mesa but haven't heard any negative comments.
5. Can't answer that
6. Get a realtor. They'll help you become acquainted with the area and choose a safe desirable location.

I have been cheated, what should I do?

>pay the remaining $1000 to help him out of this problem. if I didn't pay, I wont get my items.
but if I don't get my items, I have no idea how to pay him.

You still don't understand. The guy is a con artist, there are no phones. The only reason the guy is still in contact with you is to try to milk more money out of you. Do not tell the thief that you are on to him!

He is probably not even in the UK. Western Union wire transfers can be picked up anywhere in the world, probably some former british colony in africa.

Go to the western union web site and find their fraud page. (The link below is from the US, there is probably different contact information for Singapore) Contact them first. At least WU knows where the money was picked up!

The chances of you getting your money back is pretty close to zero, but who knows, maybe they can scam the thief with a fake payment and bring him to justice.

>What should I do? How should I pay my friends n my family back?

The same way you would if they had loaned you the money for an operation on you. Start by admitting that a con artist stole the money from you.

>myb he put some curse or what on me

Remember he's a con artist who will tell you any BS to milk more money out of you.

oxycodone 15mg question for tucson, az

We Answered:

Well, I am not from AZ but I was prescribed Oxycoden for a back injury as well, and went through the same exact problem, with the "ethex" brand, they are much weaker and did not work for me niether, I know there are other brands you can ask your pharmacist for:

1.) Mallinckrodt- This is the brand that I was getting, that I would suggest you should ask for, they work just as well as the actavis for me and I think most pharmacys carry this brand the most. pronounced mel-en-crat.

3.)Vintage brand- This is another brand that makes Oxycoden 15mgs, these ones also worked very well for me.

Since I am not from AZ I don't know any pharmacys, but I would suggest, and what I would do, is call around to Safeway, Wallgreens, Albertsons, local small and big pharmacy's, and ask them if they have your brand 'actavis' because even if they stopped making them, some pharmacys will still have them in stock. If they don't ask what brands they carry or for one of the other two brands I listed, the ones that worked best for me.

Don't be afraid to get out the phonebook calling all the pharmacys in your area and asking for these brands or what brands they have, it is your right to be able to get the medication that works for you. I used to have to do it all the time! Good luck! :)

I live in Paju-city in the Gyoho area. I need a refill on my pain meds and must find a real hopspital fast!?

We Answered:

National Public Radio (KXJZ) has been running information on outsourcing (away from USA) medical procedures - there may be help in that.

other possible help
Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, (if this does not do it you probably need a chiropractor as well) you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Where can I get Testosterone Therapy (FTM)?

We Answered:

California is a big place! Alas, there's no huge index of trans-friendly doctors in some mega database anywhere. If you google your specific county or city you might be able to find one of the many lists someone compiled and put online for local use. But many places still aren't so well "charted" and many of these referral lists are also out of date. Ways i've seen people track down doctors to assist with hormones:

(1) Ask other trans people in your area. If you are not sure where they are it might be good to ask on a heavy-traffic FTM support group like the Yahoo FTM-Trans group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FtM-trans/ ), the LiveJournal FTM group ( http://community.livejournal.com/ftm/ ) or such. Both these groups have well over a thousand members, and likely someone is or has been in your area. This way's nice cause you might get extra info on how respectful and competent they are around trans issues.

(2) Try to find trans friendly therapists and ask them. Often therapists have lists of doctors on file.

(3) Cold calling. It sounds silly but it has worked for some folks, especially in rural areas. They just picked up the phone book, went down the list of doctors and called a bunch, asking if they'd be willing to assist them.

The good news is the fact that you've already been on T for sometime will increase the likelihood a doctor will feel comfortable working with you, or not require a therapist referral.

Edit to add: contrary to popular belief, you do not *need* an endocrinologist to assist with hormone therapy, though it is a bonus. Many trans folks see general practitioners for their hormone work.
