Gift For Doctor

Sharon Said:

What would be a perfect Gift for you Surgery Doctor?

We Answered:

Honestly, he did his job, so the only thing you need to do is pay the bill. If you want to do something in addition, I think it would mean more to write him a short letter expressing your gratitude than if you were to buy him something. He's a doctor, so he really can buy himself anything he wants, no offense intended. A short, sweet thank you letter would be best, I think. Think about when you do something well. Wouldn't it be nice simply to be recognized for a job well done? Just my humble opinion.

What is the traditional gift for the doctor that delivered your child?

We Answered:

I know that people will say you are paying enough either out of pocket or through insurance for the birth of your baby. However, I did feel compelled, when my daughter was born to get a small gift for the doctor. I just felt that all the nurses, assistants and the doctor in the practice were so amazing and made me feel so comfortable for my 9 months, I really wanted to give a more personal thank.you.

So about a month or so after my daughter was born I went and bought a few cookie tins with "Mrs. Fields" cookies in it. I stopped by the office one afternoon after lunch and dropped them off with a thank you note and picture. That way it was a thank you to the entire office for such excellence in care.

They were so appreciative. It was nice because it was something for the whole office to enjoy. And the money was nominal, I spent under $20. It made me feel good to give them that token of appreciation.

Is it ok to buy a gift to my doctor?

We Answered:

I think the best thing to do is to send flowers or a plant to his office....call a good florist....have them delivered to Dr. So and So and STAFF...with an enclosure card having the message...Thank you all for all you did for me during my recent illness. I am so deeply grateful to all of you for you many kindnesses...

It is, after all, a gift from a client to a professional...and, as such, is a BUSINESS gift...

From time to time, I have sent food trays, but this usually gets a bit complicated....so have my florist handle these things now...

If you DO send flowers, be certain to tell your florist ..NO SCENTED flowers.... That way, they can be placed anywhere in the office without causing anyone problems.

I have watched several people give away lovely bouquets someone sent them.....because they contained those awful heavy-scented lillies....beloved by a few...despised by many...

Can i give gingerbread man clothes to my family doctor's kid as a gift in spring?

We Answered:

If that's all you got and you are giving it to him from the bottom of your heart then why not...maybe put a lil note on the side saying something clever like santa left this at my house or something like that

I am looking for a specific gift to gift a doctor/pharmacist?

We Answered:

There's a new ASUS laptop out -- it's small and fits in a manila envelop and retails from $200 to $500. It's smaller than an A4 paper and about an inch thick. A laptop beats any PDA since he can do more with it than just organize his professional stuff.

Eddie Said:

My sons doctor is leaving, what is a great goodbye gift for a doctor??

We Answered:

Your insurance and likely you....have been giving this guy loads of cash with each visit. You've given him enough...not actual gift

I would suggest to make a card or buy a card and include a photo of the child with something written on the back about how you think he's a great doctor.
