What is the best way to get information on doctors in Pakistan? We Answered:
The best way to get information on doctors in Pakistan is by contacting Messiah Pakistan a free service for the people of Pakistan. If you are in Pakistan you can call them at 111-110-123 or visit their website www.messiah.com.pk. They have the largest database of doctors, hospitals, laboratories and they will provide you with all the information you need. They can also assist you in setting up an appointment with a doctor.of your choice.Bertha Said:
How do you find information on Doctors in Atlanta? We Answered:
You could do one of two things. If you need a general surgeon, for instance, call a few general practitioners and ask who they would recommend or who they often refer patients to. If the same name pops up a few times you may have a good doctor.
Additionally, there are websites such as this (http://www.healthgrades.com/local-doctor… that you can do “background checks” on doctors.

can a insurance company allow doctors to make up information in your medical file?We Answered:
The insurance company cannot have the doctor make up information for your medical file. However, if they receive copies of medical records stating that you've had a surgery, obviously they would normally presume that the doctor was telling the truth.
If there is an error in the records, then you need to figure out where the information came from. Get copies of the records that the insurer is referring to...find out who sent those records to them. And then try to resolve the issue with that medical provider...it could be that they had 2 patients with the same name and accidentally provided the wrong patient's records, etc.
You won't know until you investigate further. But you're certainly entitled to see a copy of the records so that you can check things out.

If you used the internet to diagnose a suspected condition or to get information, why do doctors get humpy? We Answered:
I have no problem with you reading up on a disease or condition, an educated patient is a lot easier to treat. The problem comes in when someone reads up on symptoms they are having. They usually type it in to Wed Md or something similar and it gives a nice long list of possibilities. Usually people gravitate to the most serious ones. Thus like Gary said a simple cough and cold becomes plague, or symptoms of a gallbladder attack become liver cancer.
Now after discovering the correct diagnosis I have to spend quite a bit of time convincing you what is really wrong, since the internet told you different.
I had a patient I was called to see in the ER who had headaches. HE read online headaches CAN BE due to brain tumors and decided that is what he had. As the neurosurgery resident on call the ER called me down to give an "expert" opinion that it was not a tumor so they could discharge him. I fought with this guy for an hour trying to convince him. I showed him scans of his head. He didn't believe me. Why? The internet saids its a tumor. The guy wanted surgery, actually was insisting on it or he would sue. His headache was gone the entire time in the ER, he said due to the medication they gave him- Tylenol. The actual problem, after much argument, wasted time, and thousands of wasted dollars on unneeded tests: was discovered as he got up to leave and call his lawyer - his ball cap. He put on a new cap as he got up to leave and the headache returned. He was wearing it too tight.
