Foreign students studying in British Universties have to pay for their course....the full amount and either are sponsored by their govenrments or by their family. Our health system would not have survived if it were not for the numerous foreign doctors studying here. The number of UK doctors is starting to increase so the demand for foreign students is reducing so this should make you happy.

it depends on whether you work for the NHS or privately. It also depends on your qualifications, your experience and the type of doctor you are.

Seems it would be more practical to do it all in one country.
I know people with docorate, law, medical, etc. degrees from other countries and then had to start all over again when they came to the States ..
Something to consider and research: Will a degree from a US university be accepted in the UK / hold the same merit should you decide to go back there after you're done?
