Simple. We've been programmed for immediate gratification over the years (TV plays a key role in this). People don't want to hear that it's going to take a concerted effort and they're going to have to take some time out of their busy day and spend some time with their kids in order to straighten them out. It sounds like he has a complex and possibly depression.I have depression and anxiety, I can still take a joke, but I ALWAYS think people are staring at me and talking bad about me and stupid crap that is irrational but I can't stop myself.

the odds are very low. there are not very many colleges and in 3rd world countries, education is a struggle for children. its saddening how they tell kids that they can do whatever they wish to, but they should be able to, but the reality is that they cant.
