I can't find a good source for you. However, I was told that doctors can literally get a "certificate" where they are taught to use lasik in a weekend. The program I heard did not encourage using those. Instead, it said to find someone who has a fellowship in this type of surgery, which I believe said meant a year or more in training of dong this type of surgery.

I would suggest that you go to the reference section of your library, and look through a book called "America's Top Doctors" and start there.
