Mortgages For Doctors

Jenny Said:

what do u think of the uk fella who's suing doctors for misdiagnosis of a tumor?

We Answered:

Human beings are remarkable, if this was someone who had suffered really bad for cancer to go away, he would have wished, take away all my wealth but just cure me of my Cancer. What if it was other way around, having all the money but dying of incurable and painful cancer. I guess I will prefer the first one.

Doctors are not machines or computers, they make judgements on the basis of estimates and observing similar cases in past. In future I think doctors would delay telling people about how long one is going to live. I know statistics say 80% of people with lung cancer will die within 5 years, so how would doctors know which 20% wont.

In some cases tumours do shrink, and for lucky ones do get better, but if doctors made wrong diagnosis, then he should be compensated but if tumour shrunk on its own, you cant just put it down as your good luck or rather in this case bad luck

Chris Said:

will there be shortage of doctors in the future?

We Answered:

Currently there are more openings for interns in the cardiology field than there are students willing to take them. This does mean there will be a shortage of heart doctors as a great many of the existing ones near retirement.

The reason for this particular shortage is two fold. First, it requires a few more years of schooling so the student loans come due before these students are out of school.
Second, the decreasing rates from medicare for cardiologists make it less attractive a field to have to go to school longer and pay more in student loans that it is worth to them.
At a time when the baby boomers are nearing an age to need these specialists, there won't be enough of them.

I think therefore it is quite plausible that your scenario of not enough doctors is a glimpse at the future.

Naomi Said:

Can you borrow your way out of debt with a home equity loan?

We Answered:

The way you phrased your question sounds like an oxymoron. But to answer your question the best that I can, call the mortgage lender and ask them if they will increase the amount of the mortgage by say $3,000. Chances are that they will be delighted to do so unless it is a very low interest rate on the loan. If they will not do so, they most likely will make another accomodation for you at a somewhat higher interest rate.

Jennifer Said:

why do entertainers get paid sooo much and doctors and nurses so little? (we perform real miracles)?

We Answered:

Well one of the reasons why is probably because it is more of a personal reward. The way you feel about yourself after you complete something like that. So in a way, performing a life saving surgery, compared to just acting in a movie, will seem more important.

Need help with mortgage problem!!!?

We Answered:

Sorry to hear of your problems. Not that it's much consolation, but you are in good company. :(

I "googled" and found what appear to be several places that might be a help:

How about ACORN:

Here's a link to some information about the foreclosure process in Wisconsin (right side of the page), it might help you feel a little less stress about your immediate future:

I'm not sure about Wisconsin, but many time medical expenses can be worked out.

If you are members of a religious organization, many have assistance they can provide. You might want to check on that.

Good luck
