Need A Doctor

Nancy Said:

Do I need to see a doctor?

We Answered:

In my opinion, always be safe rather than sorry. Go to the doctors there's nothing wrong with going, even if it's because you have a slight worry about a problem. Go get it checked out.

Karen Said:

I need medical clearance by a doctor for enlistment into the Marines? What does this mean specifically?

We Answered:

To me, your question seems very vague.

Have you been to MEPS yet? To me it sounds like you haven't had your physical.

Everyone trying to enlist in the Armed Forces has to go through MEPS and get a physical. You'll do some tests (sight, hearing, drug test ect) then eventually talk to a doctor and they'll go over your medical history with you and all that fun stuff to see if you're eligible to join the armed forces.

It's a long boring day but everyone has to do it.

Now if you have gone through MEPS and need some kind of waiver from a private doctor it could be for pretty much anything and your recruiter should be able to tell you.

Good luck joining.

Adam Said:

What does an Australian doctor need to do in order to register to practise in the US?

We Answered:

Go to the ECFMG website, it'll list the requirements.

I assume you'll have to take USMLE Step I & II; & then apply for a US residency, but I could be mistaken.

Ramon Said:

do we need doctor's prescription to take prenatal vitamins or can we take without?

We Answered:

I am pretty sure you can buy prenatal vitamins over the counter, but it always a good idea to check with your doctor before taking anything. I don't if folic acid helps with getting pregnant but it helps prevent brain defects especially when taken in early pregnancy.
